Slumbering at last
your face so sweet
your golden brown hair
and soft rosy cheeks
I stand there watching
my heart full of love
the glow from the stars
and the moon from above
Silently you sleep
I can't stay away
Knowing you'll need me
with each waking day
Covering you slowly
I duck out of sight
I blow you a kiss
and whisper...Goodnight.
